Friguia Park Excursion: Half-Day Safari for Families

This Friguia Park excursion is our shortest and lowest-priced day, and the one families book most. Friguia Park, at Bouficha between Hammamet and Sousse, holds around 400 animals, from lions and giraffes to zebras and rhinos. A private driver takes you from your hotel to the gate and back, and you pay per car, not per person.

How the Friguia Park Excursion Runs

We run the Friguia Park excursion in the morning for one simple reason: the animals are active before the heat, and the park is still quiet. It is 30 minutes from Hammamet or Sousse, about 3 hours on site, then back to your hotel for lunch. If the children want to stay longer, tell the driver, who will wait at no extra cost.

The Semi-Open Safari at Friguia Park

Most of the 36-hectare park is laid out as open savannah, crossed on foot or by road train depending on the zone. Giraffes, zebras, antelopes and rhinos share large spaces with no fence between them. This is the part children love most, and the part that takes the most time.

Animal Shows and Areas for Younger Children

A bird and parrot show runs in mid-morning, followed by a big cat presentation. There is also a playground, a petting area with farm animals and a place to eat. Show times change with the season, so we confirm them the day before. Paths are paved, so a pushchair works fine.

  • Caps and water for all

The savannah zone is in full sun, whether you walk or take the road train.

  • Tell us the ages

We fit the right child seats and boosters at no extra cost.

  • Stay as long as you like

Planning a full day? Tell us when you book so we can adjust the driver’s schedule.
